Generous gift funds programming at the Kennedy Mountain Campus

Two longtime friends of the University, Andy (BSBA ’70) and Barbara Taylor, have donated $20 million for programming and operations at DU’s new Kennedy Mountain Campus, situated two hours north of Denver in the Roosevelt National Forest.

In recognition of their generosity, the University is naming part of the site the Andy and Barbara Taylor Upper Camp. Plans call for the camp to serve as a bustling nexus for students to enjoy outdoor, recreational, curricular, co-curricular and other programming.

The programming will deepen the University’s ability to provide one of its signature educational offerings: a holistic 4D Experience. It will also allow faculty and staff to connect and enjoy professional development.

This gift is the latest from the Taylors, who created the Taylor Family Undergraduate Center in the Daniels College of Business, made significant gifts to scholarships for students from underrepresented backgrounds, and long have volunteered at the institution.
