Daniels College of Business welcomes new dean

Vivek Choudhury, who comes to DU from the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) in Washington, D.C., took over as dean of the Daniels College of Business on Aug. 1.

At GWSB, Choudhury served most recently as associate dean for strategic initiatives and professor of information systems and technology management. His previous positions at GWSB include interim dean and associate dean for graduate programs.

Prior to GWSB, Choudhury spent more than a decade at the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner School of Business in various faculty and leadership roles, helping to raise the school’s profile and increasing graduate enrollment by more than 60%. He helped to forge new partnerships with colleges around the world, emphasizing the importance of a study abroad education.

“With Vivek’s background in engaging with corporations to build pathways for internships and professional experiences, [we hope he can build relationships that] will open up critical opportunities for students and help DU’s business school become even more established in this region,” says Chancellor Jeremy Haefner.
