Sister Mary Alice Murphy (MSW ’71), known for her work with the poor and homeless in Fort Collins, Colorado, was recognized by the city’s mayor, who proclaimed Aug. 7, 2021, as Sister Mary Alice Murphy Day, a tribute to her four decades of helping thousands of people get back on their feet. Fort Collins is now a model for cities hoping to better serve the homeless.

Scott Price (BSBA ’72) has published a mystery thriller, “Abstract: Bold Black,” a crime novel with an artistic twist. The book, published by Finish Line Publishing, has received five-star reviews.
1976
Stephen Replin (JD ’76) has published “Get on the Fast Track Now! Millionaire Secrets to Generating Fast Leads & Fast Revenues,” which describes widely unknown and rarely used methods for attorneys to increase their leads and revenues.
Del Olivas (MSW ’76) is running for his fourth term as Pueblo County treasurer. For more than a decade, Del has led the department that oversees the county’s approximately $420 million in revenue.

Wade Loo (BSAC ’80) has been appointed to the Hercules Capital Inc. board of directors. Wade has over 40 years’ experience in all aspects of financial reporting serving public companies.

Jeanette Hauck (BSAC ’83) has been named CEO of the Spokane YWCA. Jeanette previously was the YWCA’s chief financial officer.

Jeff Domal (LLM ’86) joins tax firm Andersen as a managing director in the Los Angeles office. Jeff has more than 32 years of experience in domestic and international real estate.
1988
Reginald McKnight (MA ’88) was keynote speaker for the Pikes Peak Community College graduation in May. Reginald is a teacher, short story writer and novelist.

Paul Leblanc (BSBA ’92) is the new executive vice president of Alliant Insurance Services in Newport Beach, California. Paul has been working at benefits firms in Southern California since 2000.

Mike Corbett (BSBA ’96, MS ’98) has been named an assistant men’s ice hockey coach for Quinnipiac University in Hampden, Connecticut.
S. Mariah Rose (MA ’96) has published a memoir of spiritual self-discovery, “Detour: Lose Your Way, Find Your Path.” Mariah has been a professional writer for more than 30 years.
Tonya Morgan (BSBA ’96, MSF ’98) has published “The Executive Cook: Weeknight Cook—Weekend Entertainer,” a cookbook for anyone looking to expand their culinary capabilities without being intimidated.
1997
Nimesh Patel (LLM ’97) has been voted onto the Kennesaw City Council in Georgia to fill a vacancy. Nimesh is an assistant vice president and managing counsel with Unum Group.
1999
Amanda Thein (MA ’99) was named associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the University of Iowa Graduate College. Amanda was the associate dean for faculty and academic affairs and a professor of literacy, culture and language education in the university’s College of Education.

James Keith Collins (JD ’00) was appointed to the 20th Judicial District Court by Colorado Gov. Jared Polis.
2001
Todd Olson (PhD ’01) was appointed the 11th president of Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Todd has had a 35-year career in higher education, most recently teaching in Georgetown’s higher education administration program and the School of Nursing and Health Studies.
Sherrill Kaplan (MBA ’01) has been appointed chief digital officer for Planet Fitness Inc. Sherrill will lead the company’s digital vision and strategy. Her background spans digital marketing, innovation, e-commerce, branding and customer loyalty.

Rachael Gass (BA ’04) is the new vice chairwoman of the DC Commission on Persons with Disabilities in Washington, D.C. Rachael is a disability rights advocate who has built a career as a health care worker, political consultant and policy advisor. She was head of the American Association of People with Disabilities 2020 POWER: the Disability Vote summit.

KC Becker (MS ’05) has joined the firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer as a partner in its Denver office. KC previously was a Colorado state representative, rising to House majority leader and then speaker of the House.
2006
W. Eric Kuhn (JD ’06) was appointed to the Colorado Court of Appeals by Gov. Jared Polis. Eric previously was a senior assistant attorney general for Colorado.
Kevin Fixler (BA ’06) joined the Idaho Statesman newspaper in Boise as an investigative reporter. He previously was a staff writer for The Press Democrat in Santa Rosa, California.

Lindsey Giacchino (BSBA ’07)
has been named senior vice president for acquisitions in the Denver office of Crescent Real Estate, where she will lead acquisitions and establish strategic plans for acquired properties.
Jaime Clark (PhD ’07) is the new director of Southern Illinois University Student Health Services. She has served SIU since 2005, previously as director of Counseling and Psychological Services.
Liann Hanson (PhD ’07)
has been named director of standards- based instruction for Fargo Public Schools in North Dakota. Liann had been the principal of Centennial Elementary School.

Michael Findlay (BA ’09) and his father, Gary, plan to open a franchise of Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, a Maryland-based lobster roll chain, this fall in Cherry Creek.
Ashley Hodson (LLM ’09) has been appointed to the 12th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Ashley, a partner in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen, focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and estate and trust administration.
2010
Tracy Gallegos (CERT ’10) has been named director of equity and inclusion for Grand Junction School District 51. Tracy previously was regional director of the district’s migrant education program.
James Harris (BA, BSBA ’10) and Meagan Harris (BA ’11), husband and wife, recently opened Tin Plate, a pizza restaurant in Breckenridge, Colorado. Tin Plate offers 100% sourdough artisan pizza and local craft beers.
Tim Healy (BA ’10) was recently appointed to the Denver Academy Board of Trustees. Tim is a 2006 graduate of Denver Academy, a coeducational, independent day school in southeast Denver serving diverse learners in grades 1–12.
David Peak (PhD ’10) is the new superintendent for Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 in Colorado Springs. He previously was assistant superintendent for human resources in Academy School District 20.

Steven Kyle McKendry (BSBA ’12) has joined Ridgeline Royalties Inc. as vice president of operations. Kyle has nearly a decade of experience in finance, strategy and investment management in the metals and mining sector.

Nikki McCain (LLM ’13) was hired as a trust officer for Caldwell Trust Co. Nikki had owned and operated two law firms and has a deep knowledge of tax law, estate planning and business transaction.
2015
Jillian Geib (MA ’15) was the official scorer in the Colorado Rockies’ 11-inning victory over the Texas Rangers on June 1, becoming only the fourth female official scorer in MLB history. Jillian is a fourth-grade teacher and has worked in many positions with MLB since 2012.

Scott Caulfield (MA ’17) has been named the first director of strength and conditioning for Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.

Alyse Reynolds (MSW ’18) has joined Breathe Mind Body Therapy, a mental health therapy practice in Bozeman, Montana, as a mental health therapist.
Mason Blake (MA ’18) is the new sports psychology service coordinator for the Boston University Department of Athletics for the 2021–22 academic year. Mason supports individuals and teams in athletics departments, academic institutions and sporting organizations.
